The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Sunday alleged that Ranjit Singh Brahmpura was making malicious and unfounded accusations against the party leadership at the behest of the rival parties.
In a joint statement SAD leaders Virsa Singh Valtoha and others dubbed Brahmpura as an “opportunist”, whose family had been the biggest beneficiary of the large-heartedness of the party leadership.
In a separate statement, party leaders Balwinder Singh Bhunder and Prem Singh Chandumajra said Brahampura was contradicting his own claims when he had said that he had no differences with the party and that the only reason he was resigning from the party posts was his health issues.
