MP Ravneet Bittu meets terrorist victim families in Srinagar

Srinagar/Chandigarh, October 9:

Parliament Member from Punjab Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu today flew to Srinagar to meet the terrorist victim families. After meeting the bereaved families along with local leader from J& K Mr. Surinder Singh Channi, Mr. Bittu said that this dastardly Act is a target killing by the terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir.

The Lok Sabha Member from Punjab further said that a principal and a teacher of a government school were killed by terrorists in Srinagar by targeting people of specific communities. He said that while the teacher, Deepak Chand, was a Hindu from Jammu, the principal, Supunder Kour, was a Sikh.

He further said that the recent developments in Afghanistan are a big threat to the peace of India especially Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab which share border with Pakistan. He also said that due to political turmoil in Afghanistan, the Pak sponsored terrorist groups are trying to disturb peace in Punjab and J&K with such cowardly activities.

Mr. Bittu said that these families had been helping people of every community, even the Muslims in the area since 90’s. But this inhuman act has created a big threat to communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lok Sabha Member from Punjab appealed to the Prime Minister Mr. Narendera Modi and Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah to ensure safety of minorities in Jammu and Kashmir. He also urged the Prime Minister and Home Minister to deal strongly with such terrorist outfits.
