Chandigarh, February 19: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the new 12,430 classrooms in Delhi today and said that education revolution is happening in Delhi.
He said that the Delhi government and ministers would help any state government of the country who wanted to build good schools or hospital like Delhi.
Kejriwal said the schools of Delhi are shaping true patriots who would not vote in the name of Caste and religion but vote for the development. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia and Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain were also present.
Delhi Chief Minister said that education revolution is happening in the real sense in Delhi. The magnificent schools and classrooms are being built in the state. Private schools in the country are not as smart as government schools in Delhi.
Kejriwal said that in the last 7 years, the Delhi government has built more than 20,000 new classrooms and if you check records, the rest of the state governments and the Centre government together did not build so many classrooms in the entire country in the last 7 years.
This year 3,70,000 students left private schools to enrol in the Delhi government schools, because government schools are better here, which is a proof of education revolution in Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal said the work of building 11,000 classrooms started 3 years ago, and today he is dedicated these to the people of Delhi.
He said that his government can bring education revolution in 7 years then it means that other governments of BJP and Congress could have done it too, had they intend to do. Kejriwal said that educated citizens don’t vote for caste and religion, so corrupt politicians are most scared of the schools. He added that educated population would vote for the development.
He said that these rooms include laboratories, multi-purpose halls and completely digital classrooms where boards are digital too. Kejriwal said that even expensive private schools don’t have such facilities and advanced classrooms.
Kejriwal said he was happy that at least in Delhi Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s dream is being fulfilled. Today, the children of the rich and the poor study together and they are getting equal opportunities.
Our government is working to fulfil the dreams of Baba Sahib and Bhagat Singh. Today all children are studying together in schools here, whether he is a child of an officer or a judge or a labourer.
Arvind Kejriwal said that most political parties promise to build schools and hospitals during elections but they do not fulfil their promises. Our government has completed the promises even before the elections.
He said that the opposition party leaders were calling him (Kejriwal) terrorist, but his aim is not politics but the development of the country and today he is dedicating these classrooms to the people of Delhi.
During the inaugration, Arvind Kejriwal said that Bhagat Singh gave a slogan of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’, today I’m giving a new slogan ‘Inquilab Zindabad and Shiksha Inquilab Zinadabad’.
