Chandigarh, October 17: As of October 16, the government agencies and private millers have procured 25.05 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from various mandis across the State accompanied by 57.28 % lifting as against 72 hour norm, informed an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab 5
Giving details he said that the government agencies have procured 2447717 MT of paddy while 58051 MT has been procured by the millers. He further informed that PUNGRAIN has purchased 967669 metric tonnes, MARKFED 647166 tonnes and PUNSUP 475859 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation purchased 310868 MT paddy and FCI 46155 MT.
