Chandigarh/Amritsar, April 17:
In a gesture of support for the welfare of the society, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Minister for Local Government, Punjab, announced provide of Rs 10 lakh from his discretionary fund to Bibi Kaulan Welfare Center. The announcement was made during a religious prize distribution ceremony at the center, where Dr. Nijjar praised the commendable social welfare work being done by Bibi Kaulan Welfare Center.
As part of this, Dr. Nijjar handed over a check of Rs 5 lakh as the first installment to Bhai Gurikbal Singh Ji, who received it on behalf of the welfare center. The donation will be utilized for the purchase of a CT scan machine, which will further enhance the medical facilities at the hospital. Dr. Nijjar expressed his confidence in the center’s management and their commitment to public welfare, stating that he always relies on them for such initiatives. He said that the second installement of Rs 5 Lakh will be given soon.
Dr. Nijjar also mentioned that if additional funds are required, he would be happy to provide them as well. He further added that it is the responsibility of everyone to support organizations that are working towards the welfare of society, and he encouraged others to follow suit.
The event was attended by OSD Manpreet Singh, S: Harinder Singh, S: Gurmukh Singh, and a large number of Sangat, who appreciated Dr. Nijjar’s generosity and commitment to public welfare.
