Punjab Government announces holiday for Haryana voters in revenue districts adjoining Haryana

CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 14: Punjab government has declared a paid holiday on November 3, 2020 under Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act 1958 and under Factories Act 1948 on November for voters of Assembly Constituency-33 Baroda in view of by-poll. This holiday will facilitate workers of Haryana working in the factories, Shops and commercial establishments situated in the district adjoining to the State of Punjab.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that the State Governmwnr has fixed November 3, 2020 falling on Tuesday as a ‘closed day’ for the employees who are voters of Haryana working Shops and Commercial Establishments in the districts adjoining to the State of Punjab. However, November 3, 2020 shall not be a closed day in lieu of weekly of falling between 1st november 2020 and 7th november 2020 on account of bye election to 33 Baroda assembly constituency, Haryana.
