Chandigarh October 14 : The Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore has expressed serious concern over the recent attack on the state BJP President, Sh. Ashwani Sharma.
In a communiqué to the Chief Secretary, Punjab Ms Vini Mahajan, the Governor has sought a complete report of the attack on the BJP leader at Hoshiarpur. He further said that immediate action should be taken to book the culprits and proceed against them as per law. All security arrangements should be made by the State Government to ensure the safety and security of Shri Ashwani Sharma and all other leaders across party lines.
The Governor also directed Punjab Government to take immediate action against miscreants who are reported to gherao political leaders and illegally restrict their movements.
