Punjab Government postpones departmental examination of IAS/PCS and other departments due to COVID-19

Chandigarh, September 29: The Punjab Government has decided to postpone the departmental examination of IAS/PCS and other departments in Punjab due to COVID-19. The test will now be held from 23.11.2020 to 27.11.2020 without any change in the schedule and pattern of the datesheet as mentioned in the advertisement No. PERS- PCSOD/E/2/2019-2PCS/440 dated 21.8.2020.

The Spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that the department of Personnel (PCS Branch) have issued a letter in this regard in which it’s made clear that the candidates who have already applied need not to apply again. However, applications from all those who have not applied yet may apply till 20.10.2020 through proper channel. Other terms and conditions will remain same as mentioned in advertisement.

Earlier departmental examination of officers of different Departments of Punjab was scheduled to be held from 05.10.2020 to 09.10.2020 at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab, Sector-26, Chandigarh.
