Chandigarh, April 11: The Punjab Medical Council today honoured Dr. Dhruvik Tewari with Gurmej Singh Gill Memorial Gold Medal.
Council has started this award in memory of late Dr. GurmejSingh Gill, who passed away last year. Dr. Gurmej Singh Gill was a former member and former Vice President of Punjab Medical Council and also a member of the Medical Council of India.
This award has been started by his family and decidedto give MBBS topper of Baba Farid University, Faridkot.
The winner student to be awarded with gold medal.
Punjab Medical Council President Dr. A.S. Sekhontoday presented the award to topper Dr. Dharuvika Tewari who passed from DMC Ludhiana.
The function was conducted by Dr. Akash Deep Agarwal, Registrar PMC. On theoccasion Dr. Manoj Sobti, Dr. SPS Sooch, Dr. Sushil Sehgal, Dr. Vijay Kumar,Dr. Bhagwant Singh, Dr. BS Walia, Dr. Gurpreet Gill and Dr. Pritpal Singh, Dr.Jasbir Kaur Gill, Dr. HS Gill, Dr. Gurbir Gill. , Dr. Manraj Kaur, Dr. Navjot Dahiya, Dr. Gurmohan Sandhu and Dr. Harmohan Kaur Sandhu (Member PPSC) were also present.
