Chandigarh, November 20: Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda Chief ‘s close associate and declared most wanted, Pawan Insan, was on Monday arrested by the Haryana police SIT from Lalru in this evening.
He was arrested in connection with his involvement in inciting violence in Panchkula on August 25 along with Honeypreet and Aditya Insan after the dera chief was convicted in two rape cases. Honeypreet has already been arrested by the police in the case and is presently lodged in the Ambala central Jail while dera chief is lodged in Jail in Rohtak after he was sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment in two rape cases. Pawan’s proximity with the dera chief can be understood from the fact he was handling dera chief’s media.
However former chief spokesperson, Aditya Insan, who is considered to be mastermind behind the dera chief activities is still at large. Haryana police has declared 43 persons most wanted in the case include the dera former chief spokesperson Aditya Insan.
A total of 41 dera followers were killed when the police and paramilitary force opened fire to disperse the dera followers who were resorted to arson, damaged property and burnt many vehicles on the instructions of Honeypreet, Aditya Insan, Pawan Insan and others, according the police.
