Fatehgarh Sahib, May 02 2018: Rajinder Singh Rai assumed the charge as District & Sessions Judge Fatehgarh Sahib, on Wednesday. He was formerly posted as District & Sessions Judge, Kapurthala before his transfer to Fatehgarh Sahib.

Ranjeev Kumar, other judicial as well as Civil & Police Official, President Bar Association Rajveer Singh Grewal and other executive members of the Bar Association accorded a warm welcome to Sh. Rajinder Singh Rai.
Sh. Rajinder Singh Rai had entered judicial services in 22 February 1992 and has been earnestly and notably discharging his duties since then. On assuming charge as District & Sessions judge Fatehgarh Sahib he voiced his resolve to secure timely and holistic justice to the litigants and exhorted judicial officers to deftly deal with action plan as well as other serious cases. He also highlighted the significance of Lok Adalats and Mediation as effective alternate means of dispute resolution.
He also appealed, in the capacity of Chairman of District Legal Services Authority, Fatehgarh Sahib, to the public at large to unreservedly avail various welfare and benefit schemes being provided and propagated by District Legal Services Authority Fatehgarh Sahib such as free legal assistance, legal advise , service being provided by Permanent Lok Adalat, mediation in pending as well as pre-litigated cases etc.
