Recruitment process expedited for 552 posts in PWD

The Punjab Public Works Department is in the process of making recruitment against 552 vacant posts. Giving this information, PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Said that soon the vacancies of Sub-Divisional Engineer (Civil), Sub-Divisional Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), Senior Assistant and Junior Draftsman etc. will be filled.

Mr. ETO said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan is committed to provide employment to the eligible youth of the state and working in this direction, the recruitment process is going on regarding the vacant posts of the Public Works Department. He said that the appointment letters have been issued to 22 Sub Divisional Engineers after the completion of the recruitment process of total 28 posts of Sub Divisional Engineers (civil/ electrical wing).

The PWD Minister further said that the candidates found eligible for the posts of 210 Junior Engineers (Civil) will be handed over appointment letters soon after completion of the recruitment process. He said that for 25 posts of Junior Engineer (Electrical), a letter has been written to the concerned District Magistrate regarding police verification and this process would be completed soon.

Mr. ETO also said that regarding the recruitment of 197 vacancies of Junior Draftsman (Civil), the department has received recommendations from the Subordinate Service Selection Board for initiating further appropriate action. He said that an advertisement has been issued by the Subordinate Service Selection Board for the recruitment of 26 Junior Draftsmen (Electrical/Mechanical). Similarly, an advertisement has also been issued by the Punjab Public Service Commission for the recruitment of 78 senior assistant posts.

Besides, advertisement for 6 steno typist and clerk posts has been issued while 10 grade four recruitment appointment letters have been handed over.
