Within just one day of its release, Ammy Virk’s song Qismat is already rolling with 2,368,948 views and maintaining its position @ number 4 on YouTube. But whose Qismat is it? Singer Ammy Virk’s or Sargun Mehta’s who has featured in it?
It is becoming an established fact that every project that Sargun is featuring in, be it a song or a movie, it becomes a hit. It seems it is her Midas touch which is working for all the artists, producers and directors.
To count a few, in July 2015, she made her filming debut with the Punjabi film Angrej, which emerged as the second highest grossing Punjabi film of the year.
After that came Love Punjab that shattered the records of Bollywood movies Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani and Akshay Kumar’s Airlift in the international market, breaking the opening weekend box office collection record with a huge margin.
Then came Jindua, in which her character was appreciated by one and all.

And her recent hit was Lahoriye, which was a 2017 Indo-Pak Punjabi drama film directed & written by well-known Amberdeep Singh, who wrote Angrej, Love Punjab & Sarvann. This movie is about the effects on Punjab after it was split into India and Pakistan; leaving two lovers in two neighbouring villages on either side of the border.
Adding to her after all this, comes her trending Qismat in which she has been featured opposite Ammy Virk who has sung it very well. Arvindr Khaira’s beautiful conceptualization with the song and the end is just blast, lyrics by my favourite Jaani are complementing the whole visualization of the director.
The way Ammy has sung Qismat, the variations in his voice is truly amazing. So all in all this was a complete emotional package.
