After doing M.Phil (English) from Punjabi University, Patiala, Baljinder Kaur worked as a lecturer for over four years. She hails from Jaga Ram Tirath village in Bathinda district.

Talwandi Sabo is constituency number 93 and is located in Bathinda district. It comes under Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency. The Takht Sri Darbar Sahib Damdama Sahib, one of the five Takhts is in Bathinda. This was where Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, prepared the full version of the Sikh scriptures Sri Guru Granth Sahib in 1705. The other four Takhts are the Akal Takht, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Takht Sri Patna Sahib and Takht Sri Hazur Sahib.

Political Standing
Baljinder Kaur was associated with Anna Hazare’s movement. Was working at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, when the party chose her the us contest the Talwandi Sabo bypoll in 2014. However, she lost her security deposit. In 2015, she was appointed head of the party’s state women’s wing.
