Tripat Bajwa assumes charge as Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats

Chandigarh September 28: Tripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development, Punjab today took charge of his department at the Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was present as Bajwa assumed responsibility of his Ministry.

Bajwa said that this new government would work with new vigour and new direction and the promises made by the Congress party to the people before the elections will be
fulfilled. He said that people of Punjab has high expectations from the Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and we all the ministers will work as a team and try to live up to the expectations of the people.

Prominent among those present at the occasion were Deputy CM OP Soni, MLAs Navtej Singh Cheema, Varindermeet Singh Pahra, Kuldeep Singh Vaid, Bhagwant Singh Sacchar and Inderpal Singh Chimpu.
