Two more officials suspended in Jandiala Guru stock case on Ashu’s orders

Two more officials have been suspended in the Jandiala Guru stock case on orders issued by Punjab Food and Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu today.

 As per today’s order Cheri Bhatia, Assistant Food Supply Officer and Rajinder Bains, Inspector has been suspended and Charge sheets against these officers have also been issued.

Earlier, two officials have already been suspended in the Jandiala Guru Stock case on the orders of Food and Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu.

As per the orders issued by Mr. Ashu today, the present Deputy Director Field Jalandhar Division, all the District Food and Supplies Controllers posted in Amritsar district from the crop year 2018-19 including Satveer Singh Mavi, Rajnish Kumari, Mangal Das, Lakhwinder Singh, Jasjit Kaur and Raj Rishi Mehra, Chargesheets have also been issued against, Himashu Kakkar, Food and Supplies Officer and Inspectors Nishan Singh and Randhir Singh.

The Food Minister today directed the top brass of the department to set up an online procedure for physical verification (PV) of warehouses and plinths before the next paddy season and all the verifications should be done online.

He also have fixed duties of all Officers at all levels of the department to do online PVs and it has also been directed that if any officer  has not completed the P.V. on time  disciplinary action will be taken against him.

Mr. Ashu directed the investigation team set up by the department to submit the investigation report in this regard at the earliest so that action could be taken against all the guilty officers and employees. He said that any kind of corruption in the department would not be tolerated and no one involved in corruption would be spared.
