Vigilance registers bribery case on online complainant against sub-inspector

The State Vigilance Bureau today registered a bribery case against Sub-Inspector Narinder Singh (No. 1846/Patiala) posted at Police Post, Bus Stand Rajpura, Patiala district for demanding bribe to help the complainant.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) said that Sub-Inspector Narinder Singh was booked on the basis of an online complaint received on 12.01.2020. He added that complainant Amandeep Singh resident of Ranjit Nagar, Patiala city informed the VB that the Sub-Inspector Narinder Singh was demanded bribe to help him in a police case registered against his mother and his uncle.

He further informed that a bribery case under section 7 of prevention of corruption act has been registered against the accused police cop at VB police station, Patiala and further investigation is under progress.
