Akali-BJP leaders submit memo to governor VP Singh Badnore

Chandigarh, June 22: The SAD on Thursday condemned the attack on the AAP MLA and demanded a judicial inquiry. In a statement, Daljit Singh Cheema said, “Those indulging in sand mining were accusing the MLA of seeking Rs5-10 lakh from them while attacking him and thrashing his security guards. These allegations are serious and should be verified.”

Meanwhile, a SAD-BJP delegation on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Governor VP Singh Badnore. They urged him to direct the state government to hold a judicial inquiry into the murderous assault on forest officials by the sand mafia in Mohali as well as into illegal activities of the mafia. The delegation was led by SAD MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and BJP state president Shvait Malik.
