Chandigarh, October 27:
The Cooperation Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Tuesday handed over appointment letters at the Markfed Head office to 110 Field Executives of 12 Central Cooperative Banks in order to augument the staff and strengthen the working of the banks. These field executives have been appointed through outsourcing by PESCO in the cooperative banks.
The cooperative banks are facing staff crunch these days which is having an adverse impact on the daily working of the banks and causing inconvenience to the customers. These field executives would identify potential customers for the purpose of opening new savings and current accounts in the banks, Guiding the farmers and general public about new loan schemes, and completing legal procedure to make recoveries from the defaulters regarding NPAs. Apart from this, assisting the customers in filling up the forms and guiding them about the working of the bank would also be among the duties to be performed by the Field Executives.
Among others present on the occasion included the Registrar Cooperative Societies Vikas Garg, MD Punjab State Cooperative Bank Hargunjit Kaur, MD Markfed Varun Roojam and AMD (Administration) of the Punjab State Cooperative Bank Amarjit Singh.
