The Aam Aadmi Party has decided the us field Gurpartap Singh Khushalpur as its candidate from Dera Baba Nanak. A former loyalist of Akali MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, he joined the AAP last year.

Constituency

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is MLA of Dera Baba Nanak. Dera Baba Nanak is a city and a municipal council in Gurdaspur district in the state of Punjab. As of 2001 Census, Dera Baba Nanak had a population of 7493. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Dera Baba Nanak has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78% and, female literacy is 72%. In Dera Baba Nanak, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
