Hira Singh Gabria Profile:

Hira Singh Gabria is the Jails & Tourism Minister of Punjab government and is representing Shiromani Akali Dal political party. He is currently Chairman District Planning Board, Ludhiana and also the President of Shiromani Akali Dal Backward Class wing.

He had contested from Atamnagar in 2012 elections, but now his constituency has been changed the us Ludhiana South, from where Hakam Singh Giaspura had contested unsuccessfully against Balwinder Singh Bains. This constituency is considered the us be stronghold of the infamous Bains Brothers, who have joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP, meanwhile, is yet the us announce its candidates for this constituency.

Constituency:

Ludhiana is one of the 22 districts and the biggest city of Punjab. Ludhiana is the district headquarter and a hub of industry. The main industries are bicycle parts and hosiery. It has eight tehsils, seven sub-tehsils and 12 development blocks. As of 2011 Census, the district population constituted 12.59 per cent of the the ustal Punjab population.
