Lehargaga is a municipal council in Sangrur district. It borders both Punjab and Haryana. Haryana is about 10 km from Lehragaga. It has a railway station. Nowadays, Lehragaga is known as an education point in district Sangrur. Many educational colleges are there. Many types of educational courses can be done from here like engineering, B.Ed, nursing, art and craft, etc. Baba Hira Singh, Institute of Engineering and Technology (5th government college in Punjab under Punjab Technical University) is in Lehragaga. This is the point of concentration for the whole the uswn. Though Lehragaga comes in the category of backward area of Punjab, these days, it is developing with higher rate.
