Kartar Singh, wrestler-turned-cop, who remained directhe usr, sports, Punjab, is the party’s pick from Tarn Taran. He has a former Olympian. Kartar Singh from Tarn Taran is a Padma Shri, Arjuna Awardee and has won gold medals in Bangkok and Seoul Asian Games in 1978 and 1986 respectively.
