Chandigarh, December 23:
Keeping in view the general elections of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh (UT), the Punjab Government on Thursday declared local holiday on December 24, 2021 (Friday) in its offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions located in Chandigarh. A notification has been issued in this regard.
According to the official spokesperson of the Personnel Department, if any government officer or employee is a voter of the Chandigarh and working in Punjab government’s offices, boards, corporations and educational institutions, then he/she can avail special leave on December 24, 2021 (Friday) from the concerned authority by presenting his/her voter card. This leave will not be deducted from the leave account of the officer or employees, he added.
