Punjab Government issues revised guidelines for National Teachers Award

The Punjab Government has issued revised guidelines for online application for Teachers National Award-2019.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Education Department said that Director (SS) Mr. Sukhjit Pal Singh has issued an order in this regard to the teachers. He asked them to register themselves online on http://mhrd.gov.in and http://nationalawardstoteachers.mhrd.gov.in till 11th July , 2020.

According to the spokesperson, a district selection committee would be constituted in each district to evaluate the candidates for this award. The District Selection Committee will shortlist the names of the three candidates and send them to the state selection committee by July 21, 2020. In addition, the Vigilance Clearance Behavior and Conduct Certificates of the shortlisted candidates will have to submitted. As per the revised guidelines of M.H.R.D., certificate will be printed out from the online portal and will be re-uploaded on the portal after being signed by all the members.

The Chairperson of the state selection committee will be the Secretary Education. Apart from him, the committee will also include a representative of the central government, director education (member secretary), director SCERT. (member) and state MIS in charge (technical assistant). The state selection committee will send the names of the six candidates to the national jury by July 31, 2020.
