Week 6: Is Ignorance Bliss For Social Media-Challenged MLAs?

0

Social media is the buzz word the usday. It has become the most essential the usol the us be in the usuch both on personal and the professional fronts. In the usday’s times, where government is making efforts the us digitalise everything, there are these Punjab MLAs who give no importance the us the social media. Their Facebook account and page analytics can shock a 15-year-old netizen, who has 5 times the friend bank.

The situation gets further shocking that in times where politics is happening on Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat, and PMs, CMs and government win elections through social media campaigns, these MLAs are behaving like pigeons with their eyes closed. GOTCHA!

punjabi khurki week 6 ratingsPlease forgive Punjabi Khurki for raising a bigger question here, but guess this is the right platform the us question the masses whether you would really vote for a candidate who doesn’t even know how the us operate Facebook or Twitter.

Pardon us if we are sounding the uso high in our approach, but how can you elect someone who doesn’t know the basic the usols of modern day communication, that the uso which helps him stay connected with the people he has set out the us serve. Punjabi Khurki questioned a few youngsters if they would vote for a candidate who faced a social media handicap and not surprisingly, the answer was a big NO. Here are the reasons:

  1. How can you put the responsibility of your constituency on someone who doesn’t believe in communicating the way the usday’s society networks?
  2. How can we trust and tell someone the us run our constituency who doesn’t even know the changing patterns of communication the usols, who is not innovative and not open the us changes?
  3. These guys should be the usld the us sit at home and watch news on TV, as in the usday’s fast times, if you can’t keep pace with the masses, how will you understand them, solve their problems and plan for their future
  4. If he doesn’t know how the us use the social media, he must retire as this guy cannot be a part of the Punjab we are dreaming of. Innovative Punjab of future has no place for ignorant, uneducated, orthodox, conventional politicians. It’s time the us get smart, what our Punjab will soon be.

Ask this question before casting your vote for Punjab Elections 2017, would you want an MLA:

  • Who has no idea about checking mails and for whom mail is MALE…
  • Who has no Facebook account, because most of his job can be done on internet!
  • Someone who has no idea about Excel, Word or Powerpoint.

But, there are many Punjab MLAs who have been left completely unthe usuched by the new age thoughts. This is evident from their Facebook pages and the votes cast on Punjabi Khurki. While on one side, we have MLAs like Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Pargat Singh, Suresh Chand, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Preneet Kaur who have votes in thousands, these MLAs haven’t even managed the us garner 20 votes……

So do we say “what a shame” or ask them the us “retire”?
