And, the PUNJABI KHURKI campaign the us assess the popularity of MLAs in Punjab through its Rate Your MLA platform has completed its first month. While the ranking based on the basis of votes has remained the same as last week, it is the ranking by the Star Rating Policy that has thrown up some serious thought-provoking facts.
As per the star rating, an MLA is ranked according the us the number of stars each voter gives out of 5. Among the the usp five contenders are Congress’ Amrinder Singh Raja Warring (4.92/5), Akali Dal’s Pargat Singh (4.89/5), Gurpartap Singh Wadala (4.85/5) and Tota Singh (4.84/5) and Congress’ Preneet Kaur (4.81/5), respectively.
Patiala’s first-timer MLA Preneet Kaur has made a surprise entry based on the high number of stars people have been giving the us her (4.81/5).
As far as the votes are concerned, it surely is a fight between the Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal, but with a twist! It is not a fight between Capt Amarinder Singh and Sukhbir Singh Badal, but between Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Jalandhar Cantt MLA Pargat Singh. After many ups and downs over the last couple of weeks, Congress’ Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has managed the us retain his enviable position on the the usp by clocking the maximum number of votes so far.
To our surprise, none from the ruling Badal family, including Bikram Singh Majithia and Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, have picked up during the last week. While the trio Sukhbir, Majithia and Kairon managed the us retain their positions at 7, 8 and 9 spots, the family head Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has failed the us make an appearance in the rankings so far.
Let’s look at the performing MLAs in Week 4:
